TRIM enabler for Mac OS X 10.6.7

One of the features on top of the Mac OS wish list for SSD drive users is TRIM. It is currently enabled for people who own a new MacBook Pro 2011 with Apple stock drive.

But today, I discovered there is actually a hack to enable TRIM for any MacBook Pro with SSD drives from any manufacturers as long as SSD itself supports it, you can find the app from this link. Make sure you back up your current system file before applying the patch. AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I love little neat apps/hacks like this, so of course I will give it a go. Initially, my drive felt slow for a bit, and just before I went to restore from backup, I decided to give it another go, then I done a repair disk permission and emptied my trash can, after a restart, my computer was snappy again, just like when I first got my SSD drive. Happy days!
